Welcome to London Grab Hire. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of our website located at londongrabs.co.uk (“Site”), and any related services provided by London Grab Hire. By accessing our Site or using our services, you agree to abide by these Terms and all applicable laws and regulations.
1.1 These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
1.2 Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
2.1 If the customer cancels the booking after a confirmed order has been placed, the vehicle has been dispatched, or has arrived at the agreed location, London Grab Hire reserves the right to charge a cancellation fee equivalent to the full quoted rate to cover incurred costs.
3.1 The customer is responsible for ensuring safe and suitable access for the vehicle from a public highway unless otherwise explicitly agreed in writing.
3.2 Any request by the customer for the vehicle to leave the public highway onto private property will be entirely at the customer’s risk.
3.3 London Grab Hire will not be liable for any damage caused to surfaces, underground utilities, overhead services, or property in connection with fulfilling the customer’s request.
3.4 The customer agrees to indemnify London Grab Hire against any claims arising from damage caused by accessing private property at the customer’s request.
4.1 Where access to the public highway or a restricted area requires a permit, it is the customer’s responsibility to obtain and provide evidence of the required permissions.
4.2 London Grab Hire will not be liable for fines or delays resulting from failure to secure necessary legal access.
5.1 The customer acknowledges responsibility for protecting all surfaces where waste collection or material delivery will take place.
5.2 London Grab Hire will not be held liable for any damage to driveways, pavements, gardens, landscaping, or other surfaces during service operations.
5.3 If protection of surfaces is required, the customer must arrange suitable protection (e.g., hardwood sheets) at their own expense prior to commencement of works.
5.4 London Grab Hire shall also not be held liable for any fluid leaks, oil drips, or other spills arising from the vehicle or associated equipment during the course of service provision.
5.5 The customer accepts full responsibility for any necessary cleaning, restoration, or repair of affected surfaces.
6.1 The customer is responsible for clearly specifying the type and condition of material to be collected or delivered.
6.2 Incorrect specification leading to contamination or refusal at disposal or delivery points will incur additional costs, which will be passed on to the customer.
7.1 The customer must not present hazardous, toxic, flammable, explosive, or otherwise prohibited materials for collection or delivery unless explicitly agreed in writing.
7.2 Any breach of this condition may result in immediate termination of service and additional charges.
8.1 London Grab Hire reserves the right to refuse loading materials that exceed the maximum allowable weight, volume, or dimensions.
8.2 Any costs incurred due to delays or repeated trips caused by unsuitable loading practices will be charged to the customer.
9.1 Vehicles have physical limitations regarding reach, load weight, and tipping clearance.
9.2 The customer is responsible for understanding these limitations and ensuring the job is suitable for the service provided.
9.3 No refunds or discounts will be issued for service non-fulfilment due to incompatibility with site conditions.
10.1 Grab hire services include a maximum loading time of 20 minutes on site.
10.2 Material delivery services include a maximum unloading time of 10 minutes on-site.
10.3 Any additional time required beyond these allowances is chargeable at the discretion of London Grab Hire.
11.1 If the driver is unable to commence work upon arrival due to site access issues, lack of readiness, or customer delay, waiting time will be chargeable beyond the included time allowance.
11.2 This includes delays due to blocked access, site personnel unavailability, or failure to provide required permits.
12.1 Quotations provided are based upon the information given by the customer at the time of booking.
12.2 Any changes, additional loads, or unforeseen circumstances not disclosed at booking may incur additional charges.
13.1 Payment is due upon receipt of the invoice unless otherwise explicitly agreed.
13.2 Late payments may incur additional fees and interest at statutory rates.
14.1 A responsible person must be present on-site at the agreed time to guide the operation and approve the position for loading/unloading.
14.2 If no one is available, the driver will use their best judgement; London Grab Hire accepts no liability for decisions made in the absence of the customer or representative.
15.1 Our drivers reserve the right to refuse to operate machinery or unload in any situation they deem unsafe or likely to result in damage, injury, or legal violation.
15.2 This includes unstable ground, overhead obstructions, or unclear instructions.
15.3 In such circumstances, London Grab Hire reserves the right to apply cancellation or call-out charges to cover incurred costs.
16.1 London Grab Hire reserves the right to take photographs or video of the delivery or collection site before, during, and after operations for evidence in the event of a dispute regarding damage, delays, or service fulfilment.
17.1 If the customer elects to return any materials, London Grab Hire will arrange collection at the customer’s request.
17.2 All return trips are chargeable at the haulier’s prevailing rate, which covers vehicle hire, driver time, fuel, and administration. Charges will be calculated based on:
17.3 All return charges are subject to VAT at the applicable rate and are payable in accordance with the standard Payment Terms (see clause 13).
17.4 By requesting a return, the customer acknowledges and accepts these haulier charges in full.
18.1 London Grab Hire does not offer fixed-price quotations.
18.2 Due to ongoing market uncertainty – including fluctuations in fuel costs, haulage rates, and operating expenses – London Grab Hire reserves the right to increase any prices quoted at any time prior to acceptance, and, once accepted, at any time prior to completion of the services.
19.1 London Grab Hire shall not be liable for any delays, interruptions, or failures arising from circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including, but not limited to, weather conditions, strikes, breakdowns, road closures, or regulatory restrictions.
20.1 If the Customer fails to pay any sums due under these Terms & Conditions within 14 days of the due date, or otherwise materially breaches any obligation under these Terms (including, without limitation, mis-specification of material, non-payment of additional time or wrong-waste charges), London Grab Hire shall have the right, at its sole discretion and without prejudice to any other rights or remedies:
20.2 All costs incurred by London Grab Hire in exercising its rights under clause 20.1(c) – including haulage, labour, disposal, re-handling, storage and any incidental administrative charges – shall be charged to and payable by the Customer, together with VAT, in accordance with the standard Payment Terms (see clause 13).
20.3 London Grab Hire may dispose of or re-dispatch materials without further notice if the Customer fails to take delivery within 7 days of being notified of our intention to return the waste, and the Customer shall remain liable for all costs incurred.
20.4 These rights are without prejudice to London Grab Hire’s right to claim interest on late payments and to recover any additional losses suffered as a result of the Customer’s breach.
21.1 Certain aspects of our Services may require you to register and provide personal information. Registration is voluntary; however, you may not be able to access certain Services without registering.
22.1 You agree to use our Services only for lawful purposes and in a way that does not infringe the rights of or restrict or inhibit anyone else’s use and enjoyment of the website. Prohibited behaviour includes harassing or causing distress or inconvenience to any person, transmitting obscene or offensive content, or disrupting the normal flow of dialogue within our website.
23.1 The content published on this Site, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, images, and software, is the property of London Grab Hire or its licensors and is protected by copyright and intellectual property laws. You agree not to reproduce, redistribute, or exploit any part of the Service without our express written permission.
24.1 Users may post reviews, comments, and other content to our Site. You are solely responsible for the content you post. You grant London Grab Hire a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, and distribute such content on our Site or in any other form.
25.1 London Grab Hire provides Services on an “as is” and “as available” basis. Your use of the Services is at your own risk. We disclaim all warranties, expressed or implied, including, without limitation, implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
26.1 To the fullest extent permitted by law, London Grab Hire shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, including but not limited to damages for loss of profits, goodwill, use, data, or other intangible losses resulting from the use or inability to use the Services.
27.1 You agree to indemnify and hold harmless London Grab Hire and its employees, agents, and affiliates from any and all claims, liabilities, damages, and expenses arising out of your use of the Site and Services or your violation of these Terms.
28.1 We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Your continued use of the Services after such changes have been posted will constitute your acceptance of these changes.

21.1 The Customer accepts full responsibility for the safe keeping, operation, and use of any plant, machinery, or equipment supplied by London Grab Hire (“the Plant”) from the time of delivery until collection or return.
21.2 The Customer must ensure that the Plant is operated only by competent, trained, and authorised personnel, strictly in accordance with the manufacturer’s operating instructions and applicable safety regulations.
21.3 The Customer shall not sell, sublet, lend, or otherwise part with possession or control of the Plant without the prior written consent of London Grab Hire.
32.1 The Customer shall be fully liable for any loss of or damage to the Plant, including but not limited to damage caused by negligence, misuse, overloading, accident, vandalism, theft, or adverse ground conditions.
32.2 In the event of theft or malicious damage, the Customer must immediately notify both London Grab Hire and the police, and must provide a crime reference number within 24 hours.
32.3 The Customer will be charged the full cost of repair or replacement (at new-for-old value) plus any associated transport, labour, and administrative costs.
32.4 Hire charges shall continue to apply until full settlement of all repair or replacement costs has been received by London Grab Hire.
33.1 In the event of any breakdown, fault, or defect, the Customer must immediately cease using the Plant and inform London Grab Hire without delay.
33.2 The Customer shall not attempt to repair or modify the Plant unless authorised in writing by London Grab Hire.
33.3 London Grab Hire will use reasonable efforts to repair or replace the Plant as soon as practicable. However, no liability shall arise for any delay, downtime, or consequential loss suffered by the Customer as a result of breakdown or repair.
London Grab Hire reserves the right to inspect the Plant at any reasonable time and to enter the Customer’s premises or worksite for the purposes of inspection, servicing, recovery, or repossession of the Plant.
35.1 The Customer must return the Plant in a clean, undamaged, and fully operational condition (excluding fair wear and tear).
35.2 If the Plant is returned in a soiled or damaged state, the Customer will be liable for cleaning, repair, and associated downtime charges at the standard hire rate until the Plant is fit for rehire.
36.1 The hire period commences when the Plant leaves the depot and continues until it is returned to, or collected by, London Grab Hire and formally off-hired.
36.2 The Customer must provide at least 24 hours’ notice for off-hire. Hire charges will continue until off-hire is confirmed and the Plant has been physically received and inspected.
37.1 The Customer is responsible for maintaining adequate insurance to cover loss, theft, or damage to the Plant, as well as any injury or property damage arising from its use.
37.2 Upon request, the Customer must provide a copy of the insurance policy and evidence of valid cover.
37.3 The Customer agrees to fully indemnify and hold harmless London Grab Hire against all claims, costs, losses, or liabilities arising from the use, possession, or operation of the Plant during the hire period.
38.1 The Customer shall ensure clear and safe access for delivery and collection of the Plant. Any costs incurred due to failed delivery, inaccessible sites, or additional handling will be chargeable.
38.2 The Customer is responsible for securing the Plant against unauthorised use, theft, or damage while on-site.
Any delays, breakdowns, or inability to supply replacement Plant due to factors beyond London Grab Hire’s control (including breakdowns of other machinery, supplier shortages, or transport restrictions) shall not constitute a breach of contract.
By using London Grab Hire services, including grab hire, material delivery, waste collection, or plant hire, the Customer confirms their acceptance of these Terms & Conditions in full.
